WTF – how did we get here? how is it even remotely possible that we managed to get this solid into the “2000’s” without me really even noticing. it feels kind of like it does when you reach one of those “decade marks” in your age.

you don’t really feel likr you are in your 20’s until you get to the 23 or 24 mark. you can still pretend (even if only to yourself) that you aren’t quite that grown up yet. same thing happens at 30 and 40. i never felt like 30 until i was 33 or 34, but i guess that once i got to 40 i pretty much knew it.

somehow the fact that we are already 5 years into the 2000’s just does not feel right yet. this decade hasn’t made its mark quite yet. the 80’s were this and the 90’s were that … the 00’s just seem to be happening with no reason. maybe when we look back tis will be the decade that we all decided to get off our collective @$$es and do something for not only ourselves, but for the world. who knows, maybe this decade will end up meaning more. i hope it does.

OK – enough of that.

had a great time over at G & J’s place last night. small group of people counting in the new year. nothing big – just folks. pretty much the way i like to spend NYE. i don’t get too into the whole “big crowd” thing anymore, so it was small simple and nice. seems the way of the “hollowDaze” this year. a few small and quiet events. last year sure did take its toll on all of us in a lot of different ways.

new years and fresh starts – start with hope and make a plan to accomplish what you think and feel that you need to do.
