OK – so this “Friendster” thing…a little weird and a little cool.

I’m not quite sure what I think about having people “approve of me” as their friend. How down can my self image get if someone doesn’t check/get the e-mail to “approve” me? Do I stop talking to someone if the server goes down and they never get the message to add me to their list? Do I even know that they didn’t get the message, or are they trying to tell me something?

Is it all a silly “six degrees” experiment? And do you “win” if you eventually connect to EVERYONE on the Friendster web-site – or will everyone eventually do that anyway?
