home – tired – REAL tired

the biggest trama/drama of the day was when the phone call came from a nurse who was asking if anyone was going to come be with Marcus in his room. i said, yes as soon as he gets into one…and then she told me that he had been there, in his room asking for me for almost 3 hours! we were still waiting to be told that he was being moved from recovery, and no one “had any information” to pass along to us, but would come get us as soon as he was being moved. arrrggg!

i don’t know that it would have been any better for us to be in the room with him for that lost time, but for him the knowledge that we were there would have been nice. he was so out of it when we walked in, but you could see the relief when he saw us, and he immediatly started to relax. after an hour or so he was talking and joking, so we all feel pretty good about his spirits and his strength. the group of interns, along with the assisting doctor, gave some good result minor testings which looks like all will be good. no major loss of movement in the face, some numb for a while, but nothing that looks pemanent.

hopefully, he will come home tomorrow, but we will have to see in the morning.

and just as a side note – could not have made it through the day without Heather and Guy. if you get around to reading this kids – more love and thanks than i have words for right now.
