so i can “see” again…

about a week or so back i mentioned the “new glasses” trip – well the story went a little longer and i just haven’t written anything down about it.

basically, i “liked” the glasses that i got – i just didn’t “like” them. i chose them very quickly the day i went to pick them out, and didn’t see any other rimless styles so thought i grabbed the ones i originally liked when i joined up with CostCo. basically what i did was grab and do – not look and make sure i grabbed the right ones. the ones i got were exactly what i chose, but i just wasn’t 100% happy with them. actually. i wasn’t more than about 60% happy, pretty disappointed actually.

so after some prodding from the Marcus, i went back to see what i could do about it. i couldn’t believe it when the service person actually told me that i could just return them and we could start over. could have knocked me over with a feather on that one. so, i made sure to pick out the right ones this time, she did all the paperwork and there it was. “week to ten days” and i would have another new pair of glasses.

this was on the 11th – today is the 17th and i have the new glasses already. wow.

could not have expected this at all. and these – i am happy with. with my prescription they aren’t “quite” what i expected, but that is just my bad eyes and not their issue. i like them a lot, and that is that. would be nice if they were a lot thinner, but that ain’t gonna happen with my eyes the way they are, so…

even asked about the “bubble effect” and the woman said most people have it for 4 or 5 days – pretty much what i remembered from last time. cool bit is how much less this pair gives me that since the shape of the lens is so different. i can SO live with this.
