feels like Texas…ick.

second heat wave of the summer – actually in the last few weeks. this week-end (starting on Friday daytime and actually through today it looks like) have been some of the hottest days i can remember away from a faire. no escape.

strange that if we were still in Texas, we would be happy with this weather. funny how perspectives change over time. of course, in Texas we would have the escape of living in the ever-present AC, none of that here to speak of. biggest issue really has been the lack of air movement. no wind to move any of the air around, really odd for this town.

sleeping has been difficult with the heat, and fans just don’t seem to help. bedtime was around 81 degrees in the bedroom. it did cool down over the night, but was 76 when i woke up this morning. today looks to be about the same, with cooling and fog rolling in tuesday or wednesday.

hopefully in time for a nice day at the Folsom street fair…warm is good – hot is not.
