all about the aloo roll
cool new restaurant opened up in the neighborhood about two weeks back, great little indian place called Rotee. not by any means the best i’ve ever had, but really good, and excellent for the price. one of the dishes that they serve is called the “aloo roll” and is basically like a giant indian samosa. Potatoes with cabbage and onion wrapped in a piece of nan bread with spices and such. so good. and a whopping $4 to boot.
as of today i have now been 4 times in that 2 weeks that they have been open. cheap lunch, but yummy yummy.
don’t much like the walk to get there, neighborhood is so not good, but the food is worth it.
i had to “treat” myself after getting a bit depressed earlier. I made the trek up to Worn Out West earlier in the day and put my cool motorcycle boots up on consignment. if i’m lucky, i’ll get a big $50 from the sale if/when the do get sold. far cry from the $175 or so i paid, but what the hey – something better than nothing, right? wish i could have gotten a bit more, but that would take more effort than i really want to put into it.
clear out the old to make way for the new – never know…
