half a quart short…

more like half a pint, actually.

i was fine until it was all over and i looked. previous entry about the doctor, today was sort of a “part 2.” drawing (more like taking) blood for a whole range of testing. so many tests they want to do, but probably some good information to be had – i hope.

the guy who drained me was really good, actually. it went very fast and was pretty much painless. i did break out in a bit of a sweat about halfway through as my body realized it was leaking through a little puncture hole, but over all not that bad.

i was pretty much fine until i looked over at the group of vials filled with stuff i usually prefer to have in my insides. nice shade of red, almost black – seemed an appropriate shade for me. then the brain caught up and realized what i was looking at, adding that to the fact that i had been fasting for 16 hours (only water since 7pm last night) didn’t help really. looked away and took a deep breath, and that allowed my to stand up and get out of there.

a deliberate and slow walk to Casto Tarts, a large coffee, some eggs and a orange cranberry scone (damn the low carbing after that!) and i feel a little more human.

or at least what i usually feel that passes for human…
