first day in the H-place
the plane ride was a nightmare. i was basically exiled to the next to last row on the flight, wish i had realized that when i had the chance to change seating at check-in, and will next time. i hate that, first ones on and last ones off the plane – i get/have to actually be on the plane almost longer than the freakin’ pilot!
sitting and minding my own business, and get the two overweight spanish-speaking only couple sitting next to me wedge themselves in. oh boy is this going to be some of the best 3 and a half hours ever! my joy knows no bounds.
that much i could most likely just deal with, they will most likely sleep through the flight (and they pretty much did) but then came the turbulence. bumpy bumpy bumpy. all throughout the flight. seatbelt light on – then off – then on – then off. arrg.
ibooks do come in handy though. watched movies the entire trip, so time at least passed without too much sitting and being bored.
today is much better. home with the family. i am really glad to be here.
didn’t realize how much i had missed just hanging out with these people (well, i guess i had, but today proved to me how much) and that doing “nothing” could be one of the greater joys in my life.
it has been a good day.
